Romeo Lion's Club St. Baldrick's Event

TODAY IS THE BIG DAY -

Parking is limited, only handicapped parking is available right at the field house.

Shavees - please gather the last of your donations, cash donations are best handled by using your credit card to donate on your personal page and use the cash to reimburse yourself.  This way the money shows up instantly.    Make sure you get there around noon today to enjoy all the fun, the day will go by really fast, make the most of it!   Also make sure you check-in at the shavee check-in tent.   You will get your seat assignment, and tee-shirt if you raised more than $50.

Volunteers - Regardless of your assigned time, please try to come around noon as well to enjoy the fun!  Please register at the volunteer check-in to get your volunteer tee-shirt and official assignment.

Let's do this!!

Get there EARLY!  you do not want to miss the all the fun that starts at noon!!

Every day, kids and teenagers, even the little ones, have to deal with the tough fight against cancer.  And we're on a mission to boost research and help them in a big way by shaving our heads!

Doors open at noon this Saturday, and there is plenty to do! Please plan to arrive around noon to join the fun! Delicious Rustic Bluebird food and cold beer will be available; there will be incredible raffle prizes, including a limited number of raffle tickets for a signed Fender Guitar by Romeo’s own Kid Rock!   Other prizes include framed sports memorabilia, restaurant gift cards, and a beautiful hand-made quilt that was created just for this event.

Looking for cool swag from the event? We have a limited supply of tee shirts, beanies, and hoodies for sale. Get yours early before they are sold out.

We have lots of free kid’s activities with fun prizes to win, such as Bingo, karaoke, face painting, and even a balloon artist. DJ Zak Attack will be playing music throughout the day.

At 12:15, watch a local young child beating cancer rock the stage with his band. He just recently finished his last treatment for a total of 14 rounds of chemo and 30 rounds of proton radiation. Come out to cheer this hero on!

And at 12:40, the Romeo 4th grade choir students will serenade you with a few uplifting tunes.

Detroit Lion’s Legend and fan favorite Herman Moore will be in attendance, too! How cool is that?!

Yep, It’s a PARTY!

Opening announcements will start at 1 pm. I encourage you to watch these emotional and uplifting announcements, including a bag-piper tribute and a message from a local mom whose young son is fighting and winning the battle against cancer.

Then the shaving starts!  Watch in awe as brave souls of all ages, from 8 to 80, men and women, shave their heads. These are the show’s true stars, and your cheers will make it a moment to remember. Expect laughter, tears of joy, and Instagram-worthy snapshots!

And finally, one more ask…please bring as many friends and family to the event with you.   We want a gigantic crowd! And we need your help to do that.  Please Invite everyone to join the fun at noon!

So, are you ready for some fun and excitement? Sign up to go bald for a good cause !   Can't join us in person? No problem! Your generous donations will be so important ensuring these kids have the long, healthy lives they truly deserve. Let's make this day in Romeo unforgettable!  Check out the video below from one of our past Romeo events.
